Stereoisomerism in biomolecules

Practicing the recognition of structure and stereoisomerism
in sugars and amino acids

These pages use the JSmol software to display molecular models. The use of Java is no longer needed. Information about JSmol ]

Pages contain applied exercises, but the necessary concepts are not explained; you should have studied those beforehand in your classes or books.

Although these same pages provide the answers, it is recommended that before looking at them you work on your answers hard enough using pencil, paper and physical molecular models.

Please choose a section from the menu in the left-hand panel, then progress through the tests within each section using the buttons at the bottom of the right-hand panel.
